TAKE PART
ELIGIBILITY &
GENERAL TERMS
BREEZE is open for the participation of any galleries who are members of ABACT (the Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art). If you are an individual practitioner or an organisation of any kind, we strongly encourage you to contact any of the eligible galleries to try and submit a proposal in association with them (please mind the fact that an ABACT-member gallery must always be the main applicant).
Each application must present a proposal for a group show or solo exhibition, with no restrictions on themes and formats – we welcome paintings, sculptures, mixed media, performances, installations, videos, photography etc. – as long as the applicants are able to deliver as specified in their submission.
The winning proposal will be chosen by an international jury of guest curators and cultural actors, and materialise as an exhibition to be held throughout October 2024 at Sala Brasil (the Embassy of Brazil's main cultural space in London), without any charge for the use of the gallery and facilities, alongside GBP 4,000 (four thousand pounds sterling) support for production.
The winning gallery will be responsible for delivering the selected project as specified in their application. In addition to a prime-location 250 square metres gallery and the aforementioned financial support, BREEZE will provide: international communications services by specialised PR professionals; privileged visibility in any advertisement published in relation to the programme; organisation and management of social, educational and promotional events held in the premises. Also, should the winning gallery require: services of exhibition signage design and administrative assistance to your artwork logistics provider will also be available free of charge.
Please read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS (AGREEMENT) document for important information. Also, to help you with your proposal, an informative sheet regarding Sala Brasil (featuring dimensions, floor plans, illustrative pictures etc.) is available HERE. A 3D editable floorplan of Sala Brasil (on SketchUp) is available upon request.
